The RCMJD Parry Voices are comprised of mainly first study singers. However, for singers and non-singers alike, choral training is an integral part of the RCMJD’s curriculum.  It is in fact so popular that students are required to audition to sing in several of the choirs. In recent years, RCMJD choirs have performed to much critical acclaim, representing the College in concerts both in London and at venues further afield, including tours to Slovenia and Latvia and in Estonia, making guest appearances at the Estonian Choral Directors’ Seminar with the Estonian T.V. Girls’ Choir.  RCMJD singers have performed with the African Children’s Choir from Uganda at the Commonwealth Observance Service at Westminster Abbey before Her Majesty The Queen, at Temple Church as part of the celebrations for the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible and in March this year at St James’ Church, Piccadilly, giving the London Première of The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ by the acclaimed composer (and former RCMJD student) Gabriel Jackson. To include the London Première of Gary Carpenter’s The Food of Love , (commissioned by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust), along with music by Gabriel Jackson, Howard Skempton, Vaughan Williams, Parry and Joni Mitchell. Junior Classical Coffee Mornings give you the chance to listen to outstanding talent from the Royal College of Music Junior Department at Sunday morning classical recitals in the Hall's Elgar Room. Tickets include a hot drink and a pastry. Doors open at 10.15am with music from 11am to 12 noon. The series is part of a wide range of events to enjoy beyond the main stage.  For more on these events click here .  Enjoy a tour of the Royal Albert Hall after your Classical Coffee Morning for a small additional fee.
